Panavia Tornado

The Panavia Tornado was the culmination of a long series of stillborn aircraft projects. Ultimately the MRCA (Multi-Role Combat Aircraft) as the project was initially known, developed into two distinct aircraft projects; the Interdictor and the Air-Defense Variant (ADV). Some 670 Tornados were built for Britain, Italy and Germany. Additional ADV variants were build for the Saudi's.
